Launch of the YouTube Shorts Fund
YouTube is showing its dedication to creators by introducing a whopping $100 million Shorts Fund to reward engaging and popular Shorts content. Scheduled to begin later this year, the fund will award creators monthly based on the performance of their Shorts. Excitingly, this opportunity is available to all creators, regardless if you’re part of the YouTube Partner Program (YPP) or not.

An optional new step has been added to the upload process, allowing creators to add and edit captions effortlessly—either by uploading a transcript or manually entering text. Automatic captions will still be generated; they may just take a short while to appear.
