The Content ID process has received two major improvements:
Quicker Appeals Resolution
Challenging a Content ID claim is now faster, with the appeals review that previously took up to 30 days now requiring a response within a mere 7 days. This greatly reduces wait times and aids in speeding up resolutions.
Direct Appeal for Block Claims
With the ‘Escalate to Appeal’ feature, creators facing disruptive block claims can now skip the initial dispute phase and move directly to an appeal. Our new Creator Safety Center is a hub dedicated to the security of YouTube creators. Create Shorts Instantly from Clips on iOS
iOS users, get ready to transform clips into Shorts with ease! Navigate to ‘Library’ then ‘Your clips’ to choose existing video snippets or record new ones. Tap on the ‘Create Short’ button to import your clip into a Short, where you can edit to your heart’s content with tools to trim, crop, and stylize using filters and text. Note that other creators won’t be able to make Shorts from content that’s yours. This feature will debut on iOS, with an Android release planned for the near future. Keep an eye out for its launch!
